You're Not Really Dead... But Make Believe Makes It More Fun (Heat of the Moment)

I loved you a few years ago. Honest I did. You said you did too but who knows what you really felt because i think you're nuts and i don't trust you. Point is, you had chance after chance and I stood by patiently for years crying waiting hoping (see Buddy Holly but you probably won't get it because you're you) for you to make up your mind. You did and you left. then you came back. then you left. then you came back. then you left. then you came back. then you left. then you came back. then you left. then you came back. then you left. then you came back. then you left. Then the last time we talked about things you said you just wanted a (expletive deleted) chance. I'm done with you. I've been done with you. Leave me alone. Don't talk to me. Don't talk to my friends. Don't get in my way. Don't think about me. Don't you dare come to my shows. Oh, and stop listening to Brand New because we both know you don't appreciate them enough.

Disintegration (Is The Best Album Ever)

 Artist: The Cure
Album: Disintegration

Here's a treat to you from The Cure. It's not for everybody but the smooth bass lines, simple drums, spacey keys and jangly guitars put me in a trance where I can easily listen to this album and not think about anything else.

Easter Bunny

I never really understood the concept of this Easter Bunny character. Why does he exist? I remember one halloween when I was 5 I dressed up as the Easter Bunny, then the next year I dressed up as the devil...

Recently, I was walking through the corridor of a mall and EB was sitting upon his throne of terror as parents sacrificed their kids one by one kicking and screaming just to sit on his lap, not unlike Santa. But Santa at least listens to what you want for Christmas and reminds you to be a good person. EB's purpose is just to scare the hell out of little kids (and adults).

I explored the interweb looking at pictures of EBs and these are what I found

This guy is pure evil and is planning to sink those huge teeth into his prey while strangling them. Look at those eyes; black, soulless.

How would I react if I was hunting for candy in my backyard and saw this hat-wearing scarf-wielding spawn of Satan coming around the corner?

This EB is clearly stoned and is a bad example to our youth. He is the enemy in the War on Drugs.

Why would any parent subject his child to this torture? The kid is crying for pete's sake! STOP!!! And why is this EB wearing a tutu around his neck? Weirdo. What's more disturbing is that EB thinks it's funny to see a little kid cry. Not cool, terrorist.

Check out the fur on this criminal. Not rabbit fur. Looks like an albino Wookie with out of control ears but I know it's not because nothing from Star Wars would offer anything so evil.

Psychopath EB with an... Easter Penguin? Abomination. I'm just as confused as this kid.

You're obviously scaring the baby. You're giving me chills. Do us all a favor; shave off your giant whisker and leave us alone.

Never Nude tough guy EB looking for trouble. Appears as though he's got plenty.

This photo is just plain scary. Fun Fact: look at this picture from different angles and no matter the angle, EB is always staring into your soul. Fear.

Deathly Ill

I hate being sick and I'll be the first to admit that sometimes I might possibly be a little over dramatic. The last few days I've been suffering from who knows what. Again, I know this sounds dramatic and it's completely inaccurate but it feels like my blood has been poisoned and as a result my entire body is in quite a bit of pain. What is this mystery disease? No idea. Will I die? Probably. Here's a video. Nice knowing ya.

Good Album

 Artist: The Mr. T Experience
Album: Love Is Dead

This pop-punk band The Mr. T Experience formed in the late 80s and is still playing great music. Their sound is comparable to EARLY Green Day (1039/ Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk days) and were part of the same scene on Gilman street in Berkeley, CA in the late 80s. Dr. Frank, the frontman, sings about girls like most pop-punk bands do but he does so in a humorous way that makes everything ok and helps you reflect on the better things of life.

I've loved this album since I was in junior high and although I lost touch with it over the last couple of years, I still know all the words and love screaming along. My favorite song is track 2: Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba but all the songs really are great. Perfect spring time music. Enjoy!

Wilderness Survival

Today, I was privileged enough to drive around south eastern Idaho with this dude:

His name is Alex Fisher and he's my roommate. We were driving to the Sawtooth mountains because we were curious about what was out there. Not like I have to say it, but those mountains are beautiful. Here's a peak (get it? peak as in mountain peak not sneak peek...):

Then we had a change of plans and decided to drive to Salmon, Idaho. Why? To get pizza mainly but also to visit the location of a To Russia (RIP) show. To Russia (free download of everything the band ever recorded) is the name of the band I used to be in with Alex. Although random, it was a fun show mainly because we played on an island. Here's the pavilion:

Visiting our old stomping ground made us build up an appetite so we ate at Dave's Pizza and I ordered this thing. Amazing!!! Seriously best pizza I've had here in Idaho.

To close our adventure we stopped by the 45th parallel. For those of you who are normal and don't know what that is; it's the halfway point between the equator and the North Pole. I felt proud to be there.

Peace!
